Patna: Six Cricketers from Bihar have been included in the auction list for the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Auctions are scheduled for 12 and 13 February in Bengaluru.
The control board for cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday released a list of 590 Cricketers, including 370 Indian players, which will be ready to be contested with a total of 10 teams with basic prices ranging from RS2 Lakh to RS2 Crore.
“I hope at least three of them will be chosen by the franchise of the IPL because of their strong performances in the first-class cricket and the T20 Interstate tournament last year,” said the Association President Cricket Bihar Rakesh Kumar Tiwari to Ti by telephone on Wednesday.
Among the six, Abhijeet Saket (26) came from Patna and Lakhan Raja (27) from the suggestion.
VIPUL KRISHNA (20) belongs to Panchhor Riga Village in Sitamarhi, while Anunay Singh (29) comes from Vaishali and Anuj Raj (21) from Gopalganj.
Pratyush Singh (27) originally came from Hazaribag in Jharkhand, but has represented Bihar in the first grade cricket tournament and T20 for the past year.
Tiwari stated that six players had the potential to perform well and expressed their thanks to BCCI and IPL because they included Bihar Cricketers in the auction list.
Abhijeet, a Batsman and Pace Pace right hand, has taken 8 goals in seven matches T20 with 3/15 against the train in November last year.
Anuj, the right hand batsman and Pace Bowler left arm, claimed five Wickets in the T20 match last year in Chennai and Ahmedabad.
Lakhan, Vipul, Anunay and Pratyush are all round.
