Lucknow: In the highest surge in one day in the past six months, 25 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded in the city on Wednesday.
Among new cases, 14 patients have traveled to other countries and Indian countries.
Four of them are army personnel who have gone to their home country during leave and on arrival gets themselves tested according to the protocol before joining the task.
The other three with the history of the trip had arrived from Dubai and tested at the airport.
The details of seven remaining patients are not available by the district health department.
Previously on June 22, a total of 28 Covid cases were recorded.
After that, the case continues to decline and remain in one digit.
However, for the past 10 days the city has witnessed an increased trend and now after 190 days, the number of daily cases has crossed a two dozen signs.
Among other cases, six people were tested positively during the contact contacts of patients diagnosed with Covid before.
This includes four families from Sushant Golf City.
The five remaining cases are people who get themselves tested as a routine protocol because they have to travel or have to visit hospitals for care.
The health department official said that five patients were respective people of Alambagh and Sarojininagar, four sushant golf cities and Aliganj, three came from the old city, two of Chinhat and each of Bakshi Ka Talab and NK Road.
