Mangaluru / Bengaluru: Karnataka reported six cases of covid-19 omicron variants on Saturday, with a total of 14.
The sixth is a daughter of between 13 and 18 years and only one has a history of international travel.
While one case was in Bengaluru, the rest came from Dakshina Kannada.

“None of the students who are symptomatic and they are healthy.
They do not have a history of traveling to any foreign countries or neighbors of Kerala.
Also, their parents do not visit Kerala and abroad,” said Dr.
Ashoka.
Six cases Saturday included 18-year-old Indian citizens traveling from England to Bengaluru on December 10.
He tested positively on arrival and the results of the genome sequencing detected by omicron on Saturday.
Overall, 19 contacts were tested negatively, the officer said.
He is fully vaccinated and asymptomatic, and is currently isolated in a designated hospital.
With this, three districts in Karnataka now have omicron variants cases.
There were eight cases from Bengaluru, five of Dakshina Kannada and one of the BELOGIVAs.
