Lucknow: Nearly 62% of the population at Uttar Pradesh qualified for the Covid-19 vaccine has taken at least one dose, disclosing state government data.
“As many as 9.23 crores from 15.04 people who qualified Crore are now partially vaccinated,” said an official on Saturday.
In accordance with data from the Cowin portal, 11.81 the crore dose of the vaccine has been managed at Uttar Pradesh while 2.58 crore (around 17.1%) is fully inoculated.
Further data shows that the dose of 6.96 crore has been given in the 18 plus age group, while 3.07 crore doses have been given in 45 years plus the age bracket.
In the elderly category, 1.77 doses of crore have been given.
The average number of doses given in the country on the date is 15.7 lakh.
As many as 33 districts have surpassed this benchmark with Lucknow (42.2 lakh) above and Rae Bareli (15.79 lakh) became the last.
On the overall scale, Citrakoot ranks last.
Meanwhile, Covid active cases in the country declined to 129, with only five positive tests and eight recovered from infection in the last 24 hours.
Officials associate control of the Covid-19 situation with state proactive steps including aggressive strategies’ traces, testing and treatment, prevention through active supervision, parsial mushrooms and vaccination.
Officials urged people to comply with Covid-19 prevention norms, especially during the celebration season to ensure that no one fell ill.
