The 62-year-old was battling against the deadly uterus for last four weeks using a partly working heart and his very last CT scan revealed he might have started to conquer mucormycosis. “The uterus has gone down by approximately 40 percent in his lungs. Back in Aprilthe doctors suggested surgery to eliminate the uterus however, the Patel family chose against it. “He underwent bypass operation in 2019 and his heart is now working only at 40 percent capacity. Placing him on the operation table could have been quite insecure so we chose to carry on with the medications,” she explained. Piyush’s mucormycosis eventually began showing a decrease to the end of April. “He’s still on house dialysis and carrying several doses of medications.
