New Delhi: Center on Thursday said 66 percent of the adult population of the country has been given at least one dose of vaccine Covid-19, while 23 percent had received the second dose.
Overcoming a press conference, US Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that 63.7 percent of doses of vaccine have been given in rural areas and 35.4 percent in urban areas.
A total of 68.2 lakh doses (about 0.95 percent) have been granted in Covid vaccination centers that are not marked as rural or urban areas, he said.

Bhushan said that from 1 May to 22 of September, approximately 6 percent of doses have been given in a private hospital and the rest have been given in public health facilities.

Bhushan said that 99 percent of health care workers have received the first dose, while 84 per cent of health workers who are eligible have taken the second dose.
He said 100 percent of front-line workers have been given the first dose, while 80 percent of them have been given a second dose.
According to the data shared, the average daily dose is given in a month has increased from 19.69 lakh in May to 39.89 lakh in June, and then further to 43.41 lakh in July and 59.19 lakh August.
