Ahmedabad: During January to 25, the city recorded 1,391 cases of dengue fever up to 445% of 255 cases in the same period last year.
In the same period, 696 cases of Chikungunya have been reported in 196 years ago.
The Chikungunya case recorded a 255% increase.
Hospital in the city reported 693 cases of dengue fever and 287 chikungunya from September 1 to 25 Data Department of Health showed that in the period 1-25 September, the malaria case was established in 199 while the Falciparum case was at 16.
During January 21 to September 25, the city recorded 661 cases of malaria and 57 falciparum cases.
In the same period last year, 436 cases of malaria and 35 falciparum were recorded.
The Ministry of Health has collected 1.16 lakh blood samples so far in September against 71,154 samples in September last year.
The case of water disease has also registered an increase in this period, AMC leaders show.
A total of 1,544 tifoid cases were registered on January 21 to September 25 period of 965 cases in the first nine months last year.
The health department official said that the malaria control team from the Civic body had collected 7,992 water samples for bacteriological tests so far this year, 156 this sample was found not feasible.
