Bengaluru: Karnataka on Saturday reported seven omikron cases again, taking the total number of patients with a new variant to 38.
While four of them had the history of international travel, two arrived in Bengaluru from Delhi and the other were contacts from the UK returned by people.
Among the new patients was a 15-year-old teenager traveling from the US on December 20 and has been tested positive for Covid on arrival.
Gender that person was not disclosed.
All seven cases come from Bengaluru.
Of the seven, six are fully vaccinated, except for teenagers.
Omicron infected people who were just found included two men aged 76 and 62, who had returned from Delhi.
The 76-year-old man has traveled from Delhi to Bengaluru on December 3 and further developed Covid symptoms.
He has been tested positive for Covid on December 6 and is in house isolation.
The 62-year-old man has returned from Delhi to Bengaluru on December 20 and is currently being treated at a private hospital.
One of the main contacts has been positively tested.
A 63-year-old man who has traveled from Zambia, a 21-year-old man who returned from England, and a 30-year-old woman who had a history of traveling to the UAE was another with the history of international travel.
A 54-year-old man, who is the main contact of the person returned by England has also been found infected by Omicron.
Health Minister K Sudhakar said that all primary and secondary contacts from people have been traced, traced and tested.
