Letter: Seven people were arrested for allegedly kidnapping general managers (GM) from a construction company working for the Ahmedabad-Bullet train and the driver to recover Rs 15 Lakh.
The defendant was a supplier of labor and Allegdly did not pay money for worker salaries.
Police arrested Majnif Rehman Mohmmad Ibrahim, (42), Sahbul Haq, (35), labor contractors, Imrul Qayes (33), Hasanuj Haq, (38), Mohammad Ayesh Abdul Sattar (35), and Sahbul Maujarali Mohamad, ( 42).
The majority of the defendants came from West Bengal.
They allegedly kidnapped Rajkumar Gupta, (58) and the driver Manoj Datta (54) from the project site in the village of Antolryi in the district of the letter on Sunday night.
The defendant took the Duo to Bharuch.
The Gupta worked for RBCL Piletech Infra while Datta was a driver in a company that conducted construction work for a bullet train project, police said.
Immediately the police were warned and the crime branch team, a special operating group from Letter and Bharuch was formed to track the location of the victims.
The defendant came in the SUV and took another SUV from the victim’s company.
Police found a contracting company SUV near Hansot Bharuch but was found abandoned.
Meanwhile, the police found the location of the victims at Madina Park of Bharuch.
The police saved them and arrested the defendant.
Introduction Investigation revealed the defendant demanded Payment of Rs 15 Lakh from Gupta.
The defendant had supplied workers to a project where Gupta was hired.
They demanded money but for several reasons that payment unknown was not released by the contractor company, police said.
