70 children with inflammatory syndrome treated in CMCH in 2 years

Coimbatore: More than 70 children suffering from multisystem inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C) has been successfully treated at the Coimbatore Government Medical College Hospital (CMCH) in the past two years.
MIS-C is a syndrome where organs and tissues become very inflamed.
This is associated with Covid-19 because many children reported with the syndrome itself are infected or have a family history of Covid infection.

There were several cases in care until last week but there were no cases of MIS-C at this time.
Because CMCH is a referral hospital, patients also come from neighboring districts.
Patients treated with the X-ray multimonitor ventilator, intravenous (IVIG) and methylprednisolone immunoglobulin therapy.
