8 coal mine closed Ramgarh for more than a year, production losses are pegged in tons of metric 12L every day

Ramgarh: Amid sustainable concerns from thinning coal stocks, triggering concerns of power outages in this country, Baady Limited (CCL) bullies, one of the main coal producers headquartered in Jharkhand, facing some production losses due to eight closure.

CCL has an estimated 12 lakh tons of losses in production every day because of their project closure in the district.
Of the eight mining projects, six were closed due to the lack of agreement to operate (CTO) from the pollution control body and two because of the land of obstacles.
Closed because of the CTO including the Bhurkunda project (Barka Sawal Area), Kuju, Pundi, and Pindra Project (KUJU area), Sirka Project (Argada Area) and Kedla Underground Project (Charhi Area).
Those who face land obstacles are Saunda-D (Barka-Say) and Sarubera Project (KUJU area).
General Manager CCL (Barka-Sayal Area) Amresh Singh said, “The Bhurkunda project from the area has been closed for the past year because the CTO while the Saunda-D project was also closed for a year.
Both projects have a combined production capacity of 5,000 metric tons per day.” According to him, the closed project remaining in the district can produce an average ton of 2,000 to 3,000 metric per day and almost one lakh metric tons per month.
“With eight closed projects, production losses of around 12 lakh metric tons,” officially added.
