Lakhimpur-Kheri: Eight people killed on Sunday after violence broke out during the protest farmers in the Lakhimpur-Kheri District of Uttar Pradesh, claiming the lives of farmers and BJP workers ahead of the visit by Deputy Minister of Chief Keshav Prasad Maurya, officials said.
Two SUVs were burned by farmers who were angry at the clash near Banbirpur at Lakhimpur Kheri.
Four of deaths are people in the car, it seems to be part of the BJP worker convoy that comes to welcome the minister.
They allegedly hit by death.
The other four are farmers, officials said.

Samyukta Kisan Morcha identified four dead farmers as Lovepreet Singh (20), Daljeet Singh (35), Nakhattar Singh (19) and Gurvinder Singh (19).
“There were around 12 to 15 people injured and hospitalized,” said the group Farmers in a statement at night.
The Union Minister said about 10 BJP workers were injured and several cars were broken.
BKU leader has demanded Mishra’s dismissal and registration of murder cases against his son and “other thugs”.
Trade unions have also announced protests at district judge offices throughout the country on Monday.
