Vadodara: A total of 80 hard stones are removed from the 50-year-old gallbladder of women from Madhya Pradesh (MP), who suffer from severe stomach pain since the last two months.
The entire female biliary system is fully filled with removed stones without a single incision.
“The patient was in extreme difficulties.
After the investigation, he was suspected of having a few stones and therefore without wasting any more time, we planned the Endoscopic Procedure of Retrograde Choliaiopancreatography (ERCP),” said Dr.
Dhaval Dave, a gastroenterologist at the Hospital Parul Seevasham.
The doctor was shocked to see the biliary system.
“We started removing the stones from the intrahepatic channel, the tract, general bile duct and we are around 80 stones from various sizes of up to 2 cm to the ampulation,” he said “but we can complete the procedure in two hours without intra- operative bleeding.
With balloons Especially, the channel widened.
The stones are pushed into the intestinal cavity where they will gradually be excreted by feces, “he said.
Usually, such cases look more in the northern and middle of the country.
“Prolonged fasting, diet with excessive fat content is some reason for the formation of these stones.
These stones if they are not deleted on time also cause cancer risk.
Therefore it is very important to remove it,” said Medical Director of the Hospital Dr.
Geetika Madan Patel.
