Mangaluru: A 85-year-old man who was standing in the front yard of his house, died after the pick-up vehicle that reversed, hit him and dropped it, here on Saturday.
The deceased was the Koragappa of the Kakkebettu Shaktinagar worker colony, said the source.
The pickup vehicle was driven by Mohan, which was loaded with tiles, press Koragappa at 12:30 a.m., said the source.
The victim sustained a head injury, and was rushed to the Wenlock Regency Hospital, where the doctors claimed to die.
Kankanady City Police has registered a case against the driver of the pick-up vehicle below the 304a IPC section (causing death from negligence).
