Lucknow: As part of an ongoing enforcement encouragement against the manufacture, sales and distribution of illegal liquor, the combined team of excise and the police department registered 43 cases in the Lucknow division and confiscated 893 liters of illegal liquor while 16 people were arrested.
In the Agra Division, 20 cases were submitted, 3,573 LT forbidden liquid and 2.050kg of land confiscated and 11 was arrested.
Additional Chief Secretary (Excise), Sanjay Bhoosreddy said that in Chandpura, excise and the Firozabad police team confiscated 1,599 alcohol from a shop.
In Hamirpur, the team confiscated 660 liters of alcohol and registered eight cases.
In Shamli, the raw alcohol 245 was confiscated and 120 was won by Mirzapur.
In the District of Moradabad, Sambhal, Amroha, Bijnore, and Rampi, 28 cases are registered with 1,147 lt of the illegal liquid confiscated.
In the Bareilly division, 1,337 liters of banned liquor were confiscated and 2,200kg of land destroyed with 30 cases submitted and 10 were accused of being arrested.
