Mangaluru: Nine farmers from Dakshina Kannada (DK) and Kasaragod are recipients of VK Super Star Raita 4.0 award, a platform to identify and recognize progressive farmers.
This function was held at Fordoor Farms, Ganjimutt, on Friday.
It is held by Kannada Vijay Karnataka (VK) every day.
The award-winning farmers are, Anand Rai, Sorambailu, Sarve, Puture Taluk; Thirumaleshwara Bhat Kuriyaje, Sullia Taluk; Harish J Shetty, Mulki, Mangaluru Taluk; Harish Kodla, Karopady, Bantwal Taluk; Abhinandan, Indabettu, Belthangady Taluk; Ananthapadmanabha Bhat, Soorinje, Mangaluru Taluk; Keshava Bhandar, Kalmimbady, Puture Taluk; Sathyanarayana Beleri, Kinnīgeru, Kasaragod and Laxmi M, Munichaana, Badiadka, Kasaragod.
The function was held after the appropriate behavior of Covid and saw superstars carried in the procession, and the appreciation above Swami Paranquin Ekaganyananda from Ramakrishna Mutt underlined the importance of agriculture, expressing happiness that people returned to farming after a pandemic.
