Rajkot: A 30-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping a nine-year-old girl in the village of Padva Ghogha Taluka in Bhavnagar district on Monday afternoon.
According to the police, a religious party was held at the Padva Village Temple on Monday where children were invited to be launched.
The little girl was between them.
After lunch, the defendant was identified as Ajayshinh Gohil took the girl to the nearest room and suspected of raping him.
“The fearful girl rushed to her house and told her parents about the incident.
His parents told the police and filed a complaint against Gohil,” police said.
“We have arrested the defendant.
The girl’s family involved in agriculture and the defendant was also a farmer and lived in the same village as survivors,” police added.
