Vadodara: In the capital city of Gujarat, Vadodara, it was one of the most awaited events of the Faculty of Fine Arts University of M.
Like the famous Garbas, the annual look of attracting students, parents and art brotherhood gathered from all over the country.
But the Covid-19 pandemic received a studio emptied right when the work for the title show began last year.
Now, beginner artists from the faculty have collected an annual display in virtual ‘avatars’.
“The days before the display was once busy, hurrying and fun for students who can be understood from countless each batch section as a display story.
Unfortunately, the pandemic has seized us from all this aesthetic experience.
For two years, the campus wore a long holiday display, Summer, winter and the rainy season all mixed, “said Jayayaram Poduval, leading the Dean of the Faculty of Art.
“When the cliche goes – ‘The Show must go’.
And our students have created their own initiative to conduct virtual displays, innovatively open their own opportunities,” he said.
Faculty undergraduate students have installed an online exhibition – Fine Arts graduates show 2021 – and even bear the amount of costs incurred in the process.
“The idea of the virtual exhibition originated because of this applicable pandemic situation and the constraint did not have the right annual appearance over the past two years,” said the last year’s painting students, Anushree Rabadia.
“We have to limit ourselves to only this year’s virtual show, but hopefully it will not eliminate students to reach an audience that is interested in general.
It is time to showcase works; tentative first steps in the world of professionals.
This is also the time for us, teachers , to see student work throughout the discipline, “said Professor Associate in the Department of Painting Indrapramit Roy.
Virtual display displays work around 30 students painting, statue and art history department.
