Mysore: The day after the tiger was found dead after being stuck in a snare, Foresters Bandipur Tiger Reserve on Wednesday arrested a person accused of killing the big cats.
Tribal Chandru, 38, a resident in the village Hosokalli Rajapura Haadi was arrested.
Sniffer dogs Rana led the Foresters to catch poachers.
5-year-old tiger was found dead in the elephant proof trenches in Gundathuru Beat in Gundre forest range which comes under the Bandipur Tiger Reserve.
Tigers, who quarreled with hedgehog three days ago, and the thorns pierced his front legs, has entered a ditch and caught in the snare laid by rogues to trap wild animals.
It died from a brain haemorrhage.
Foresters, after getting the information, call the Sniffer Dog Rana and save.
Bandipur Tiger Reserve Director SR Natesha told TOI that the person arrested to face charges of involvement in a wide range of wildlife crime in the past.

Forest officers and staff have noticed suspicious movements of the accused in the forest during the preliminary operation.
