Mangaluru: Hindu organizations protest against the demolition of a temple near Nanjiud, with a large number of VHP activists and other forums brought to the streets here on Thursday.
In the protest held near Mallikatte, the protesters shouted Hanuman Chalisa and gave prayer, seeking punishment to those who were behind drives demolition.
They also raised the slogan against the BJP government.
Zonal VHP M President Puranik demands a destroyed temple restoration in three months, and regularization of all temples in the list prepared by the government for razing.
“We now have our government, our own system and our own department, but unusual decisions are taken.
Parivar VHP and Sangh are hurt because of the government’s movement.
It must face the consequences if it does not improve the way,” Puranics warned.
Bajrang Dal Convener Puneeth Attavar said the BJP leaders must keep their promises to protect the Hindutva.
Urging the Safron Party to withdraw his decision on the demolition of the Hindu structure, Puneeth said that Bajrang Dal and other Hindu organizations helped BJP to power in the state.
“You have to face the consequences if you throw Hindutva.
Fix all the structures of Hinduism mentioned in the list of illegal structures,” he said.
Zonal Secretary VHP Sharan Pumpwell said the drives demolition of the temple seemed to be part of a conspiracy.
“Investigations must be done into the drive conducted against the temple in Mysuru District.
Despicable officials responsible for the incident,” he added.
Vedia member Hindu jail warned that massive protests will be held, if the government made a similar drive in the coastal area.
