Pune: Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Friday called on a complete plastic ban on the Sinhagad fortress and proposed the use of the E-bus PMPML to go there, after parking private vehicles at the foot.
The Ministry of Forestry will allocate 10 hectares of land for parking lots.
Construction of stores to sell food and employment goods to regional residents as a travel guide has also been proposed in the plan to develop an integrated fortress.
After reviewing the plan, the pawar said the tender would soon float and the plan must be executed earlier.
He said plans to choose e-PMPML vehicles to transport tourists to the top of the fort.
Warung Pithhla Bakri and the famous curd will be accommodated in one or two places after building kiosks after the Guidelines for the Ministry of Forestry, he said.
In addition, the toilet beam and charging points for electronic vehicles will be arranged.
He said training would be given to regional occupants so they could work as a guide.
MP Supriya Sule, attended the meeting, visited the fort last week.
He has discussed the development plan to improve the quality of tourism with the Deputy Forest Conservator, Rahul Patil.
Deputy CM also discusses problems related to poor roads and garbage rider in the Mann and Hinjewadi region.
