MILAN: Growing freedom is now central for Ferrari because the luxury carmaker, that will be looking for a new chief executive order, refuses to unveil its initial all-electric version in 2025, Chairman John Elkann stated on Thursday.
Elkann, the scion of Italy’s Agnelli family that controls Ferrari by its own investment business Exor, place the deadline for the initial electric car past month.
Elkann has been Exor Chief Executive and Chairman and produced the comments on Thursday while talking to shareholders.
His devotion puts Ferrari before Lamborghini, among its most important competitors, on the path to electrification, since the Volkswagen-owned supercar manufacturer isn’t likely to establish a completely electrical version till the next half of this decade.
Ferrari was on the lookout for a new chief executive because Louis Camilleri abandoned December and Elkann stated last month it had been making great progress on a listing of rather strong applicants.
Elkann, who’s also chairman of Stellantis, stated that an”Electrification Day” the planet’s fourth-largest carmaker is holding in July are,”a basic chapter since Stellantis proceeds to construct its potential for a protagonist at sustainable freedom”.
