After Anna University conducted a checked online test in February, the Ministry of Higher Education ordered it to conduct a re-examination after complaints from students.
The test results in the April / May 2020 semester were even higher because the government stated that the first three-year students came overall considering Covid-19.
A total of 30 colleges received 100% and 412 from 441 received above 90% pass and only two universities registered less than 70%.
The principal said the high percentage pass in 2020 will make more students qualify for campus placement in 2021-22.
“Usually, we will have 60% -70% of the last year’s students with all graduates and qualify for the screening process for campus placement.
This year, we have around 90% of the last year students who qualify for campus placement because of increased results.” said a school principal from City College.
Former Deputy Chancellor Anna University E Balagurusamy said the results were not true reflections of student and college performance.
“Anna University should avoid publishing these results on websites because it will mislead engineering and public ideals.
Exams are not carried out in the right form and it is bulk copying.
The result of 100% shows the process of examining and incorrect evaluation.
They must return to the exam Normal physical mode for the next semester and if it cannot be avoided, they must conduct a locked online test, “he added.
