Mumbai: The massive police bandobast has been planned for Anant Chaturdashi, the last day of Ganeshotsav, on Sunday.
About 1,600 police from the local arm unit and various branches of the Police Mumbai will come out patrol the streets, in addition to 300 police from the outside unit, 500 house guards, three state-reserve police force companies and a central reserve police force company.
More than 4,300 traffic police, in addition to traffic widesmarks, will monitor the processes and traffic of GanPati vehicles.
“All vital installations will be guarded.

Anti-sabotage steps, night patrol operations and morning troops will conduct examinations with high alertness.
Traffic police said they had established five control rooms at the main dyeing point in Girgaon Chowpatty, Shivaji Park, Juhu, Malwani T-Junction in Malad and Ganesh Ghat in Powai.
The first view center has been set to offer medical assistance.
The watch tower has been established to monitor traffic flow and arrangements made for important roads to separate crowds to soaking and return.
