Huzurabad Compassion: EVMS or ballot paper?

Hyderabad: The talk in the political circle is whether the selection of by-election huzurabad will be carried out on EVM or sound paper.
The next bypoll is likely to witness a large candidate contingent entering Fray if the threat issued by unemployed youth, private teachers, field assistants and other caste welfare organizations are indications.
The election wing officials in the country said the final decision about whether to do Bypolls on EVMS or the polling paper will be taken later.
This will also depend on the number of candidates who will be in the electoral field.
“According to the norm of the Election Commission, the EVMS will be used if the number of candidates contests, including the note option, does not exceed 385.
Elections or elections with selection will be carried out on paper voting only if the contest candidate is more than 385,” said an official.
Ten candidates in 2018 and nine in the election of 2014 assembly (excluding notes) have been contested from the Huzurabad constituency.
Two dozen unemployed young men have also threatened to enter Fray Election with the YSR Sharmila Telangana party that promises to support them in the cause.
Bypoll Huzurabad was seen as a prestige contest between chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and former Minister of Eatala Rajender who joined BJP after being overthrown from the KCR cabinet.
While TRS announced Gellu Srinivas Yadav as his candidate, BJP has not formally announced his candidate even though Eatala is likely to oppose the Bypolls.
Congress is expected to announce his candidate after September 10, Election of Lok Sabha 2019, Kunyit farmers submit more than 170 nominations of the Nizamabad constituency to highlight their demands.
While the Bypolls to Sagar Nagarjuna and the Constituency of Dubbak were held on EVMS, the second election of the second graduate of the MLC seat and 150 Big Ward Hyderabad Municipal Corporation was held with ballots.
