Times News Network Varanasi: The Varanasi region of the POS department has set a new record in Aadhaar payment systems that are activated under the Bank Post Payment of India.
During the two days of all Indian campaigns, the department has secured the first position in the state and fourth in Pan India by completing RS transactions 5.3 Crore, which is 193% more than the target allocated Rs 2.79 Crore.
The Postmaster General Varanasi, Krishna Kumar Yadav pushed all Division Supervisors and Bank Post Payment Bank Payments and said that during the campaign running on September 16 and 17, 10,000 more people in the region benefited in the ‘AAPKA Bank, Aapke Dwar’ line.
Under this campaign, from home to shopping, agriculture, walk to the ship on the river, a number of Rs 5.3 Crore is provided for people through withdrawal of doors from their bank accounts.
Yadav said that through the payment system activated Aadhaar, India after bank payments provided the withdrawal facility of the steps by postman and Gramin Dak Sevaks to withdraw money from bank accounts that were connected to aadhaar.
People can now draw the number of DBT sent under the social security scheme through their postman area in front of their door even without going to the ATM.
Yadav said that during this financial year (from April-2021) around 2.40 people lakh in the Varanasi area had attracted a number of Rs 90 Crore from their account at home through the post department so far.
Yadav said that for people who were disabled, senior, or living in an old remote area where ATM facilities were not available, the postman was available for withdrawal of money from their bank account.
An individual can attract up to RS 10,000 from a Bank account related to Aadhaar from Microatms available with postman in a day.
