‘Quad Nations is involved in the problem of connectivity, infrastructure, covid’

Shringla said that four countries Quad – India, USA, Australia and Japan – were involved in connectivity and infrastructure issues, technologies that emerged, climate actions, education and covid- 19.
PM Modi will participate in the first quad leader summit in Washington on September 24 during his visit in the US this weekend.
Shringla said that the collaboration agenda under the Quad frame was constructive and diverse.
Quad is a strategic forum consisting of India, Japan, Australia and the United States.
He spoke at the top of the Summit JP Morgan India.
“The four Quad countries are involved in the problem of connectivity and infrastructure, technology that arises, climate action, education and the most important of all, Covid-19 response – which includes vaccine collaboration and a strong and reliable supply chain,” he said.
“Requirements to reconfigure and diversify the supply chain to make them more resilient and reliable gives us the opportunity to work together.
We are involved in various initiatives, within the Quad framework and with quad countries individually on supply chain resilience,” Shringla added.
Last month, the White House announced that US President Joe Biden would host the first quad leader in the White House on September 24.
President Biden is “looking forward to” to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Australia Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Japan Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga, official statements recorded.
Leaders will focus on the deepening of “bonds and advancing practical cooperation in fields such as fighting Covid-19, handling the climate crisis, partnering in emerging technology and virtual world, and promoting indo-Pacific which is free and open.
