Hyderabad: Central Crime Station (CCS) Detectives from LB Nagar along with police Vanasthalipuram in Hyderabad arrested a registered medical practitioner (RMP) and recovered 16 stolen laptops and five cellphones, all decent Rs 5 lakh, from hers.
G Naveen Kumar (41), who came from Jagadish Colony in Badrachalam, worked as a RMP at Laxmi Devunipally near Palvancha in Khammam Regency.
This year, he was involved in five cases of theft registered in Vanasthalipuram, LB Nagar, Meerpet, and Saroornagar.
“As his income is not enough to meet the cost of his life, Naveen hatches plans to do theft on the bus.
It used to travel in the bus late service bus from various cities to Hyderabad and identified passengers carrying laptops.
After the bus reaches the outskirts of Hyderabad, it is used to steal a laptop bag and get off the bus, “said Vanasthalipuram ACP Purushotham Reddy.
The defendant was also used to steal a laptop from a bachelor room by identifying a flat where the door was left open.
The defendant along with the property was confiscated before the court.
He was sent in the detention of the justice.
