Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 208 new Covid-19 cases and 2 deaths on Monday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 4,991, down the 5000 sign for the first time since the two pandemics hit.
The total count of cases from the start of the pandemic last year, stood at 6.63,662 and the death toll was at 3,906.
A total of 220 patients were declared recovered on Monday, taking the total number of patients recovered to 6,54,765.
The case fatality rate (CFR) is at 0.58 percent while the recovery rate reaches 98.65 percent now.
So far 79.8 percent of the overall cases in the country have asymptomatic while 20.2 percent have symptomatic.
On Monday, 45,274 samples were tested for Coronavirus novels.
Telangana has now completed a sample testing of 2.58 crore and has reached 6.95 lakh testing the sample per million population.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 49 cases on Monday, while Medchal Malkajirgiri nearby 15 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 9 and Sanga Reddy recorded 4 cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and its edges, Warangal Urban with 20 new cases recorded the highest number of cases.
