Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 173 new Covid-19 cases and one death on Sunday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 5,005.
The total number of cases from the start of the pandemic last year stood at 6.63.454 and the toll of death was 3,904.
315 patients were declared recovered on Sunday, taking the total number of patients recovered to 654,545.
The case fatality rate (CFR) stands at 0.58% while the recovery rate is at 98.65%.
So far, 79.8% of the total cases in the country have asymptomatic while 20.2% have been flexible.
On Sunday, 35,160 samples were tested for Coronavirus novels.
Telangana has now completed the testing of 2.58 crore samples and has reached 6.94 lakh testing sample per million populations.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 64 cases on Sunday, while Medchal Malkajiriri neighbor recorded nine cases, Rangeddy recorded 13 cases and Sangareddy recorded two cases.
Outside the city of Hyderabad and the edges, Karimnagar with 17 new cases recorded the highest number of cases.
