Patna: The Economic Violation Unit (Eou) Bihar Police on Tuesday conducted a simultaneous raid on the nine places of a police officer, Narendra Kumar Dheeraj, and his brothers and sisters in Patna, Arwal and Ara and assets that were excavated worth at least amounting to RS 9.47 Crore who did not proportional to the known source of income.
Dheeraj is also the President of the Bihar Police Association.
Eou sources said assets were worth 544% more than known sources of income.
The search was made after registering fir Monday and bought a warrant from a special court on Patna.
When contacted, ADG (Eou) Nayyar Hasnain Khan said a large number of land acts, passbooks and bank documents related to investment on LIC had recovered.
“His brothers and other family members do not have a source of income.
Together family depends on Dheeraj.
All properties are collected from the money that is less owned by Dheeraj by misusing his position and power,” he said.
“We have known that Dheeraj also has around 20 trucks, buses, and other vehicles,” Khan added.
“This is an additional recovery about the previous knowledge Khan said Dheeraj had a monthly salary of around RS52,000, including allowances.
According to Eou, Dheeraj joined the service as a police officer in Nalanda District Police on May 13, 1988 and he was currently posted on Patna.
Raids was carried out at the private residence of two floors of Dheeraj in Mahavir Colony in Beur, Patna, his father’s residence in Muzaffarpur Village in Sahar in Bhojpur, Brother Ashok Kumar, both in Arwal, a five-story building and five other floors.

Eou has found four housing plots at Bazaar Samiti, Jagdeo Nagar, an agricultural plot in Udwant Nagar on behalf of Vijendra, Commercial, Housing and Agricultural Plots in 10 places in the name Surendra, 50 decimal farm plots in Narhi in the name of Virendra, four housing plots and Agriculture in the name Ashok, one plot of housing in Gorhna in the name of Shyam, 64.5 decimal agricultural land in Narhi in Sahar in the name Shashi and 51 decimal plots in Jagdishpur in the name Nephew Dharmendra, all located in Bhojpur.
ADG said it would also be investigated if Dheeraj collected these traits by helping the sand mafia as one of his brothers was arrested in Yehanabad two months ago to help vehicles carry sand which was mined illegally.
