Vadodara: The two-week long political drama began by BJP MLA for the affair of Baroda Dairy ended on Wednesday with the Intervention of the BJP President of C r Paatil.
The ceasefire arrived with an official announcement that Baroda Dairy would pay Rs 27 Crore to the manufacturer of milk as a price difference in two installments in March next year.
Paatil said the Chairperson of Baroda Dairy Dinesh Patel along with other council members for the meeting in Gandhinagar with BJP MLA who had threatened agitation accusing that milk producers were not paid at milk prices.
Savli Mla Ketan Inamdar who led the group even threatened to intensify his institution since Thursday.
Many are embarrassing the Vadodara BJP district unit, another three BJP MLA including Madhu Shrivastava from Waghodiya, Shaile0sh Mehta from Dabhoi and Akshay Patel from Kärjan has extended support for Inamdar.
The Dairy Baroda Board is also managed by BJP leaders.
After Wednesday’s meeting in Gandhinagar, Inamdar told media people that Dairy had agreed to pay Rs 27 Crore as a difference in price for milk producers in two installments.
“The difference in price of Rs 18 Crore will be paid before Dussehra while other RS 9 Crore will be paid in March,” he told the media.
In advance, BJP MLA demands the right level of milk for farmers, but the political circle shows that MLA applies pressure tactics ahead of the election of the State Assembly.
Two council members at Baroda Dairy appeared as a possible candidate in the constituency of the Savli and Karjan Assembly.
At the same time, some MLA was alert about ‘no repetitive theory’ adopted during the upcoming selection.
It should be mentioned here that at the end of the financial year all unions must pay price difference in milk producers, which are enrolled members.
As a result of political struggles, Baroda Dairy will now do exercises to calculate the difference in a half-year price that will be paid to farmers before the end of the financial year.
