Gurgaon: Residents of Sector 9 were annoyed at muddy water supplies for more than two weeks.
They have caused concerns with the risk of diseases transmitted through water in the area.
The population claimed that the lines of the surrounding sewers were broken earlier this month caused the overflow of waste.
After this, MCG installed a motorcycle pump to remove the gutter water to the storm water drainage network.
Residents alleged that they had faced problems because the old pipes were placed along the storm water drainage network, which were damaged in several regions.
As a result, muddy water and gray with a foul odor are supplied to their household.
They claimed to have submitted several complaints with MCG officials and local council members.
“But the problem has not been resolved,” said a resident.
Prashant Chauhan, President of Rwa Sector 9 said, “The work that should be completed within 72 hours has not finished even after more than 20 days.
It’s hard to take a shower or brush using water supplied to us.” The population claimed that they were forced to buy bottled water for Drink and cook.
MP Soni, one of the residents, said, “People are sick because the supply of contaminated water and MCG really closes the eye in the situation.
They have left everything in the contractor without supervision to ascertain whether he does the job correctly or not.” Meanwhile, Tushar Yadav, the MCG Executive Engineer said, “The gutter line repair work has taken place and is expected to be completed on Thursday night.”
