Gurgaon: India National Highway Authority (NHAI) has issued a notification of performances to contractors and supervision consultants Dwarka Expressway six months after the elevated road was built as part of a collapsed project, giving them 20 days to respond.
“We issued a notification of the show early this week for contractors and supervision consultants.
Further actions will be taken depending on their response,” said a senior official Nhai to Ti.
Some 80 meters from the roads raised near Daultabad Chowk collapsed on March 28, injuring three people working on the adjacent dock.
Nhai has suspended several contractor officials and consultants with respect to collapse.
A committee was formed “to ascertain the reason for failure” leads to the incident, Nhai said in a statement issued afterwards.
Asked about the findings of the Committee, and reports based on the notification of the show had been issued, the official said, “Nhai still has to look further into this problem and the irregularities that cause collapse.” “Some aspects are behind the incident, from material quality to operating costs.
Overall, the work must be increased, among other factors,” the official said.
The fisters of the Minister of Road and Jalan Raya Nitin Gadkari have also talked about accidents and subsequent investigations during a visit to Gurgaon last week to examine Delhi-Mumbai Expressway development.
He said the committee report was received, and “the necessary actions” will be taken.
Working on a part of the toll road that collapses has not yet restored.
Nhai said construction would continue.
“The work has not yet begun, but we have issued a letter to the contractor to start working after the recommendation of the Committee.
Construction will begin soon,” the official said.
During his visit, Gadkari has stated that the toll road is likely to be completed and opened for commuters next year.
Dwarka Expressway, which is being built at a cost of Rs 9,000 Crore, is 29km long, where 18.9km fell in Haryana, and the remaining 10.1km in Delhi.
It has been conceptualized as the northern ring road that runs between Gurgaon and Delhi, which will reduce congestion on the existing route between the two cities by serving as an alternative to the population.
About 23 km from the toll road, which is being built between Kherki Daula Toll Plaza in Gurgaon and Shiv Murti in Delhi, will be elevated.
The project was planned in 2006 by the Haryana government and the contract was given in 2011.
But the work was delayed because of several obstacles in land acquisition and lack of coordination between Haryana and Delhi the government.
In 2016, Gadkari has received Haryana’s request to declare the country between countries as a national highway.
Stone Foundation for toll roads is placed in March 2019.
