Mysuru: In a big help for women who work, most home-based child care centers have continued operations in Mysuru City.
While the government has not allowed school to continue for the primary class, the Norm Covid-19 government does not specifically state whether these centers can function.
These centers serve children between the ages of three and 12 years, and with regular classes for children to class 5 have not continued, many parents find these centers comfortable and leave their children there.
Parents say most of the Diocbased child care centers have begun to recognize children in the past two weeks.
These centers open at 8 am and continue until late at night.
They come as a gift for parents who work now having to work from the office.
Yashoda B, a resident of Tyagaraja Road, said he left his four-year-old son in a child care center for 5-6 hours a day.
“My business has canceled a job from home options because all the limitations have been appointed,” Yashoda said.
“Before the child care center was reopened, I struggled and depend on neighbors and relatives.
Even though it all talked about the third wave, I had no choice.
I gave a cooking center for cooking the food cooked to feed my child.” Women workers like Yashoda.
said homekeeping centers are run by people who are known to them so that safety is not a problem.
“With the school closed, we don’t have an alternative.
A child care center operates my environment, so I don’t need to be afraid when I leave my children with them,” said Saroja HM, who works in a finance company.
However, Antony Sebastian, Chairperson, Commissioner Karnataka for the protection of children’s rights (KCPCR), recognizes these centers is a gray area because they are not under the scope of any government department.
“We are conducting a survey of these centers and we will soon make recommendations to the government.
They must be taken under the scope of government institutions,” he said.
