New Delhi: As part of a major improvement carried out by Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana on Saturday, Delhi police received a human resource division that would handle units such as personnel management, training and welfare.
Anti-terror unit (specific cells), also set for improvement with four new DCP-rank officers and new vertically, taking into account the perceptions of developing threats and changing the security situation in the region.
“Law and command” has been divided into two – zone I and II – with the Special Commissioner of Dependra Pathak and Satish Golcha in the helmet.
The head of the traffic unit, regardless of DCPs in the south, southeast, southwest, north, north and center, has been changed and the newly posted officers are posted there.
The traffic unit has been renamed as a traffic management division and 1991 batch officers Virender Singh made the new head.
Veteran Sleuth K P S Malhotra, who has investigated high-class cases at Crime Branch, has been posted as DCP (Cyber Division) in special cells.

While in Crime Branch, Malhotra has broken the fraud of nursery acceptance involving the EWS quota in many Delhi schools other than the case of espionage relating to several ministries.
He, until recently, posted in the Narcotics Control Bureau, where he solved the drug network and investigated cases of drugs related to Sushant Singh Rajput and other Bollywood actors.
He also led the operation which resulted in the release of the Mumbai Muda pair – Mohammad Shareeq and Oniba Qureshi – framed in case of fake drugs, punished and nested in prison in Qatar.
Three more DCPS – Jasmeet Singh, Rajiv Ranjan and Ingit Pratap Singh – each has been posted to cells from downtown central, outside and southwest.
“Special cells are being reinforced by more officers.
The new mandate will be determined by considering the perception of ambite threats and security.
The unit will be coupled with new technology and human resources,” said a senior officer.
According to the command issued on Saturday, Muktesh Chander, IPS Batch 1988 officer posted as a special commissioner (Ops and licenses), has been transferred as a specialized Commissioner of the Technology and the Project Implementation Division.
He will also hold additional charges of community policing and media cell divisions.
Special CP (General Headquarters and General Administration) S Sundari Nanda has been posted as a special CP / Human Resource Division.
Division HR includes personnel management, training and welfare.
Special CP, Women’s Safety, Nuzhat Hassan, will now work as a special division of CP, Path Citizens and Public Security.
CP Sanjay Singh has made a Special Commissioner (Licensing and Legal Division) while the central Zone Special CP Rajesh Khurana has posted as a special CP, intelligence division.
Sagar Singh Kalsi, Batch 2010 officer, has been posted to North Districi T as DCP.
Esha Pandey, another Batch 2010 officer, has been posted as a DCP, the southeast district, while his batchmate, Benita Mary Jaiker, has been appointed DCP from the southern district in Atul Thakur, who is waiting for the Central Deputation and has been attached to the police headquarters for the time this.
Gaurav Sharma from the 2009 batch has been posted as a DCP, southwestern district, while Batch 2010 officers Brijendra Yadav has been appointed DCP (Outer North).
Batch 2010 officer Shweta Chauheta has been given a central district while Shankar Chaudhary of 2011 Batch will be a DCP of the Dwarka district.
