Mangaluru: Union Portist Port, Shipping & Water Channels and Ayush Minister Sarbanou Sonowal inaugurated the 50 bed Multispeciality Hospital in the Wenlock District Hospital in the city on Saturday.
Hospital was approved in 2016, and was completed by the estimated cost of Rs 9 Crore in 2020, but because of the Pandemic Covid-19, the launch was delayed.
The hospital will have an Ayush Opd, and in the future there will be special special care facilities.
Treatment modalities in Ayurveda Panchakarma, Jalouka (Leech therapy), Kshara Silk Therapy and Abhyanga are available at the center.
In naturopathy, hydrotherapy, acupuncture, acupressure, color therapy, magnetic therapy and physiotherapy will be available.
In Unani, the center will offer Dhalak, Hijama and so on, said Mangaluru City South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath at the address of his president.
He added that more facilities will be given in the center in the future.
In the previous Udupi, during the day, the minister said that the end of Ayurveda and other traditional treatment systems were widely recognized.
“Ayurveda receipts can be further enhanced, through more research, scientific validation and findings,” he said, after inaugurating Rathnashree Arogyadhama’s new hospital in Kuthpady.
He added that the Ayurveda fields needed more research activities, because there was an increasing demand.
The increase in the number of foreign students who chose Ayurveda was the testimony of the fact that the Indian medicine system had received more reception.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi established a separate Ayush Ministry in 2014, and in accordance with the status of the cabinet especially to conduct research,” he said.
“There are many herbal plants with the value of drugs in India, and scientific research in this area is the need for hours.
