Thane: Senior medical officer from Covid cells crucial from Thane Civic Corporation resigned on Friday without quoting certain reasons, officials said.
However, the officer learned upset after he was asked to continue the mandatory leave without assigning any reason.
The officer was assigned to the coordination role for Covid facilities for months.
But a few weeks back, he was asked to go with medical leave.
“The official tried to know the reason for the action and asked to be transferred to another department instead of being asked to leave.
There must be a probe,” said BJP group leader at home, Manohar Dumbre.

Bhimrao Jadhav, medical staff for health in TMC confirmed the officer had resigned because he did not want to continue the work but said he was not aware of another reason behind it.
