Thiruvananthapuram: CPM leader P Sathidevi will be responsible as the new Chairman of the Kerala Women’s Commission on October 1, according to a statement issued by the Commission here on Saturday.
The 64-year-old Sathidevi is a former member of Lok Sabha and is currently the Secretary of the Mahila Democratic Association, CPM Women’s Wing.
He is a sister of party leader P Jayarajan.
Her husband is a former CPM legislator, M Dasan, who died in 2002.
