Bengaluru: A Deputy Police Commissioner (DCP) suffered a leg injury after members of the Kannada organization were suspected of running a car on Monday.
The incident occurred when the North representative of Police Commissioner Dharmendra Kumar Meena was in charge of maintaining ‘bandobast’ ‘Bharat Bandh’ near Goragunte Palya Junction at Tumakuru Road.
According to the police, pro-Kannada organizational workers took part in supporting the National ‘Bharat Bandh’ to mark the first warning of the enactment of three agricultural laws.
The defendant was detained by Bengaluru police and his car was also confiscated, Report Ani.
Bengaluru police said that detainees had been identified as Harish Gowda which was said to be a member of Pro Kannada, however, said.
The police added that Meena suffered an injury to her leg and is currently stable.
“It was a protestor vehicle, they had attached posters on the windshield, maybe he didn’t see me, but maybe he didn’t see me, I believe because of the poster.
Almost half of my feet are under the car tire,” Meena told Ani .
