Ahmedabad: When urban forests stretch inevitable, it makes sense to assume that the Asiatic lion area shrinks, but a study of individual large cats shows that the Pug Royal sign makes their claims across the growing realm.
For the first time, a group of leading large cat experts and radio officials of the Gujarat Forest Department seized 22 lions and observed them for 365 days.

Senior officials of the Gujarat Forest Department said that lions had learned to live near humans and have also deviated to coastal areas.

HS Singh, a lion expert and a national council member for wildlife, said: “Based on past research, the Ministry of Forestry estimates the range of male lions to 175-200 square kilms, and the female lion area to 70-80.
