Coimbatore: While Coimbatore is among 35 cities where the center plans to develop multi-capital logistics parks (MMLP) to facilitate the movement of hassle free cargo, the industrial agency here suggests Irugur, Vellalore or Chettipalayam for this project given the closeness with the road, train Fire and airport.
The suggestion was made for the Minister of Public Works and Jalan Raya EV Velu on Saturday.mmlp was a transportation facility for handling transportation with various modes of transportation access, mechanical warehouses, material storage solutions and special facilities for handling mechanical materials.
This will avoid large trucks carrying cargo in the city.
Conversely, trains and airports can be used for complex free cargo transportation.
This center wants the state government to identify land for the project to develop facilities.

About 158 hectares of land were identified for development, where 122 hectares with Trust Chennai Port.

Nhai proposed the road from Narasimhautakenpalayam in Mettupalayam Road – Saravanampatti in Sathy Road, Neelamnur at Avinashi Road, Karanampettai in Trichy Road and Madukkai before touching Chetttipallayam.
If MMLP appears in one of these locations, the truck can take a bypass and reach facilities.
And then cargo can also be distributed to various parts of the city increasing tracking and traceability of consignment through infrastructure, procedural, and information technology interventions.
