Kolkata: Acting on the direction of the state government, the KMC has taken a special vaccination drive for students.
The drive will begin on Wednesday and end on October 8.
Students need to fulfill each principal and register their names for Jab.
The KMC health department has prepared a list of colleges provisional whose students will be given a priority.
“To start, we have identified 27 colleges.
We will then expand the drive throughout the city,” Atin Ghosh, a member at the KMC administrator board that oversees the Ministry of Health.
Calcutta University has calculated 1,600 students who require the first dose and 2,800 require the second dose.
In the presidency, around 44% of students took JAB on campus.
“Drive will be beneficial for students,” said Regitrar Debajyoti Konar presidency.
Scottish Church Vice Principal Suparatim Das said: “We are told that free vaccination will be carried out but the date must have not been given.
In addition, it has been told to us that students in the district will be given the contact number of officials.” Lady Brabourne Principal Siuli Sarkar said, “Hods Will monitor the number of students who take vaccines and Nodal officers will do everything.
” According to KMC health officials, the Civic vaccination clinic is specifically equipped to handle every hurry.
“We do not have the current vaccine or vaccine scarcity to take a special program,” said a civilian official.
