Jaisalmer: Parents of Children who study at the Mahatma Gandhi Mahatma Government School in the British Medium in Jaisalmer City protested on Monday after children were made to sit in an open place because part of the school property had been allocated to Jawan from Rajasthan Armed Constabulary (RAC).
Classes for students from 1 to 5 have begun after one year and five months on Monday.
But when children arrive at school, they find that Jawan of Rac lives in the classroom.
Parents protest in front of the principal and some of them bring their children back home.
The Principal of Ramaram Rathore said that he had told the local education and administrative department that there would be no place for children to sit.
The Principal of Ramaram Rathore said that he had told the local education and administration department that the school would be reopened and there would be no place for children to sit, but no one was noting.
Even though HR day Singh visited school three days ago, he did not give any solution.
Rathore said that this was the only English middle government school in the city.
The school has two buildings with 14 rooms.
About nine rooms at school were given to RAC Jawan four years ago.
Before 2016, two separate schools were used to function.
But in 2016, the Government Vasundhara Raje combined this into one.
The school only has classes to the 8th standard and therefore, one of the buildings remains empty.
Then, Jawan Rac was given accommodation there.
Parents now demand authorities to shift RAC Jawan and give up the building to school.
At present, schools have classes to the 10th and 13 subjects are taught there.
But the building where the school took only five rooms.
The parents present on Monday at school said that if the problem was not resolved, they would go to the office collector with children.
The government that makes high claims on behalf of education must make efforts to provide roofs for children when they study, they said.
