Lahore: Pakistani courts have been sentenced to death of a female headmaster to indicate.
The District Court and session on Monday sentenced Salma Tanvir, the Private School principal in the Nishtar colony, and imposed a fine of PKR 5,000 ($ 29) to him.
Additional districts and Judge Session Mansoor Ahmad observed the verdict that Tanvir conducted a deference by denying that the Prophet Muhammad was not the last Prophet of Islam.
Lahore police in 2013 have registered a case of disruption of Tanvir on the complaints of local scholars.
He was accused of denying the finality of the Prophet Muhammad and claimed himself as the Prophet of Islam.
Tanvir’s advice Muhammad Ramzan argued that his client was “a person who was not heart-minded” and the court should take into account the facts.
However, a report by the medical council of the Punjab Mental Health Institute submitted to court by the Prosecutor said “the suspect was suitable for trying because he was not mentally crazy.” The law of controversial blasphemy Pakistan and the punishment that is prescribed is considered very severe.
At least 1,472 people were charged with blasphemy law in Pakistan since 1987.
People accused of blasphemy usually lose the right to their choice of advice because most lawyers refuse to take sensitive cases.
Blasphemy laws are the law of the colonial era but they are changed by former Dictator General Ziaul Haq which increases the severity of prescribed punishment.
