New Delhi: Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on Tuesday stressed to create a multi-disciplinary, multi-dimensional and job-oriented agricultural education system.
Overcoming the Annual Conference of the Agri Regional Chancellor State organized by the Indian Agriculture Research Council (ICAR), Tomar said education is the key to the success of every field and community sector.

Said that the progress and success of the university lies in the shoulder of Vice-Chancellor (VC), the minister said the learning and experience of VCS is the key to student success.
The Minister also praised unmatched agricultural contributions, Agri-scientists and government schemes in making the country independent in the production of essential crops.
He said that Icar had developed 5,885 plant varieties from 1950 to 2021.
In the past seven years, the Institute has developed a total of 1,656 plant varieties where 1,359 varieties are acting.
The State Minister for Agriculture Kailash Choudhary and Shobha Karandlaje was also present on that occasion.
In his speech, Director of Icar General Trilochan Mohaparna underlined the main achievement made by various ICAR institutions in various fields of agriculture.
