Paddy Procurement in Pb, Haryana will start from 1 Oct

Chandigarh: Punjab Head of Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Wednesday directing the Department of Food, Civil supplies and consumer affairs to ensure a smooth and disturbed rice procurement during the current marketing season (KMS) starting from October 10 when reviewing the arrangement and preparedness of the rice procurement season At the meeting, the minister’s head asked the Ministry of Food and Civil Equipment, the Nodal Agency for procurement operations, to ensure all the settings needed for the procurement, quickly and smooth and rice storage.
Repeating the commitment of its government company, Channi said that every grain of farmers will be appointed from the market and strict compliance with the norms determined by timely payments to farmers will be ascertained.
Meanwhile, Minister of Food & Civil Bharat Bhushan Ashu assured the minister’s chairman to ensure a smooth procurement during the current rice season for the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
The center has a fixed minimum support price (MSP) Rs 1,960 per quintal for rice ‘a’ for KMS 2021-22.
Four state procurement agents, Viz Puntrain, Markefed, Punsup, PSWC, along with FCI, will buy rice at MSP according to the specifications of the United States.
A total of 1,806 purchase centers were notified by Papjab Bathing Board had been allocated among government procurement institutions.
Furthermore, to curb the spread of Covid-19 pandemic and avoid gluting in Mandis, nearly 800 rice factories / public places were being established as a temporary purchase center for the procurement of rice.
Procurement policy for KMS 2021-22 has been issued.
The minister’s chairman is also informed that the necessary arrangements from the Balitability of Goni are needed (tarpaulin) for rice storage will be carried out on time.
FCI makes its own settings from Goni Bal, Cash Credit, Stock Articles and Storage Rooms.
