Bengaluru: In an effort to build a ministerial image “accessible”, Basavaraj Bommai began a meeting Thursday with BJP legislators with 35-40 MLA mainly from Bengaluru, Tumakuru and Chitradurga regencies who have discussions one on one and group.
Thursday’s meeting was scheduled by the Head of BJP Whip and Bommanahalli Mla Satish Reddy who claimed that CM spent three to four hours giving patients to hear the legislators.
As a direct focus on the country’s IT-BT capital, CM Bommai heard the demands of the party’s legislators from the city who had serious financial concerns to carry out the development work and request the new Bruhat Bengalagu Mahanagara Law (BBMP) to be fully implemented in the city.
Can be remembered that under former Minister of Chief B S Yediyurappa, the legislator complained that the BJP patron was “inaccessible” and did not give them time to hear about their concerns.
Immediately after being cm, Bommai also experienced a lot of criticism during the legislative party meeting that he was running the government under the shadows of Yediyurappa and did not hear the problem of legislators.
With complaints of getting traction and rumors of other rebellion brewing in the party, the BJP State Executive Committee decided to impress the Bommai CM to hold a weekly dedicated Thursday meeting for BJP legislators to meet him.
However, CMO officials suggested that Thursday’s meeting was not limited to only BJP legislators but even for the MLA opposition party.
“Open to all legislators to come and meet him at his official residence.
However, today only BJP MLA comes,” said an official.
