Bengaluru: In what appeared to be a statement from the Development Minister De-Facto Bengaluru, even though the Minister of Chief Justice Basavaraj Bommai officially held a portfolio, Revenue Minister R Ashoka said on Thursday that all city roads in Bengaluru would be free in the next 30 days.
.
He said Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has been given an October 30 deadline to fill all holes, from the main road to the interior bylane.
Ashoka, on Thursday morning, continued the round of the city along with the Supreme Commissioner of the BBMP Gaurav Gupta and took stock of poor and pathetic road conditions.
The minister acknowledged that poor road conditions had raised a report of death and broke the bone because of the hole in the streets.
“As a result, we have given the last time limit to BBMP because it fills all holes in the city on October 30,” Ashoka said.
Work orders have been issued for two companies to fill holes throughout the city.
The minister said the holes in the main streets would be filled in the next 10 days, followed by sub-arterial roads in 10 more days and finally the interior and road bylane to be filled on October 30.
Ashoka said the bigger problem for fruits was the acquisition of the rain of bitumen and unexpected in the city.
He said, on average, the BBMP would need 30 bitumen loads for the next 10 days and that Puee had obtained a 585 load of tar supply without interruption for Bengaluru roads.
However, regardless of this obstacle, the BBMP was said to have filled a hole in 246 kilometers of road.
There are 13,074 kilometers of roads with product limits.
Ashoka also said that the RS 1,000 Crore grant was released to BBMP because it took a road restoration project on the outskirts of the city that had seen 2,500 km from the damaged road because of the pipe printing work for drinking water and underground drainage systems for 110 villages added to BBMP in 2006 .
On average, Ashoka said each of the 198 wards had been allocated Rs 20 Lakh to exercise filling holes.
Dilapidated buildings to get 7 days notice at the other end, Ashoka also claims that BBMP has been given a 7 day to issue notifications for dilapidated buildings in the city to be emptied and ready for demolition.
He said that per survey of 2019 as many as 185 dilapidated buildings were identified in the city.
“We will give them 7 days to empty, failure that we will cut the power supply for them and then ready to eliminate themselves,” said Minister.
He said the cost of demolition will be added to the payment of existing property taxes from building owners and sites.
City MLAs searched for more funds for the development of the BJP Legislator Bureau, which met with the main minister of Basavaraj Bommai on Thursday, urged CM to allocate more grants for the city segment ahead of the delayed BBM.
“The last time Bengaluru received a grant in 2019, when the BS Chief of BS Yediyurappa came to power To complete our promises, “said a senior legislator.
