Bengaluru: With more than 1.3 core doses managed in 30 days, Karnataka set a new vaccination record for September, exceeding a number of 1.2 crore doses in August.
It lacked the ambitious target of CM bommai from 5 doses of lakh every day, a total of 1.5 doses of crore a month, although more than 5 doses of lakh were given on a few days in the month.
The country provided was more than 5 doses of lakh at six days in September, including a record 31.7 lakh dose on September 17.
However, from the other 24 days, the country crossed 4 doses of lakh only on September 7, while nine days see more than 3 doses of lakh given.
The lowest daily vaccination was reported on September 26 (35,453), followed by September 10 (60,203).
The countries provided under 1 dose of lakh on two other days – September 12 (79,410) and September 16 (81,385).

KV Trilok Chandra, the state received 1.32 crore doses during September and it managed to manage 1.39 crore doses “because it had a balance of opening” at the beginning of the month.

“When educational institutions begin to function, we hope some cases to be reported, but there is a mechanism to quickly isolate such cases and prevent further deployment,” Chandra added.
